24/7, 365 days of the year – those are the hours that Rocky Mountain National Park is open! You can come and go as you please, entering or exiting, day or night.
In summer, fall, spring, and even winter, you can enjoy a variety of activities inside Rocky Mountain National Park!
Trail Ridge Road, which is the scenic highway that connects Grand Lake on the western side of the Continental Divide to Estes Park on the eastern side does close for the winter. Depending on the weather, Trail Ridge Road is typically closed from mid-October to mid-May.
Please note that there are also times, after Trail Ridge has opened for the season, that the road will be closed due to weather. These Trail Ridge Road closures typically occur in May and June, and again in September and October.
