Visitors also have the opportunity to view an impressive display of diverse wildlife within Rocky Mountain National Park, including elk, moose, and deer. We are an ideal location for bird watching, with over 280 species including eagles and hawks. Explore the great outdoors like never before as you cross country ski through our stunning winter wonderland.
Travelers come from all over the world to experience these trails and the amazing views.
Grand Lake and the Nordic Center have often been referred to as the “hidden gem” of Colorado. This is due to not only our amazing ski trails, but the sheer amazement visitors have in viewing the scenery.
Although a small town of only a few hundred full time residents, Grand Lake is a worldwide travel destination. During the summer we get visitors looking to cool off in the mountain air. In fall, visitors enjoy the color changes of the trees and landscape. But in winter, we transform into a winter wonderland that surprises even the most traveled visitors.
We hope to see you soon out on the trails! Be sure to stop in the Chamber to tell us how you enjoyed your experience.
